Always adopt, don't shop
Shopping is fine if you get them from a responsible source and not from some breeding factory.
Those dogs are permanently bonded to you. They'll always remember the way they feel on that car ride out of jail. To you they may be a small part of your life, but to them you're everything Adopt adopt adopt
I have a picture of myself sleeping on the floor next to my dog on the day I adopted him, but it's actually staged since my grandma didn't know how to use my cell phone to take pictures so she had to wake me up and then told me to pretend that I was still sleeping. I wasn't planning to adopt a dog (I didn't even like dogs) but I was at a shelter with my friend that day and one of the dogs there started freaking out when I just walked past his cage. For some reason I decided that meant I had to take him home with me. I wonder how selective he was with that behavior...
Aww... the black and white ... pitbullish mutt reminds me of my first dog, also a black and white pittbullish mutt, ... somehow nearly the exact same pattern, but inverted colors.
Gotcha Days are the beginning of the best days.
Every time I see a picture like this, or walk by a Petco with a local shelter doing adoptions it front, I’m like “maybe we have room for one more…..”
Same, same. It’s my dream to adopt 2 dogs at once who come as a pair, like these two.
