Personally I couldn’t get into it due to the sole fact that I can’t stop thinking of gotyes song throughout. I didn’t even know it played on the radio until today, always assuming it was just a TikTok song

There's an entire cottage industry of music that is made specifically for tik tok and youtube shorts.

1). I dont listen to music that specifically references anxiety and prefer mysterious lyrics for sad stuff

2). I dont listen to stuff that gets labeled as a tiktok song, or at least I wouldn’t know unless someone told me a song I like got big on there which somehow happened with Space Song by Beach House

Don't like it. I mostly don't like how big literalism is in art in general right now, like we can come up with a more clever way to sing about anxiety than just repeating it

I like Arcade Fire's songs about anxiety

IT FUCKING PISSES ME OFF meow-tableflip

tik tok songs are generally fine, i don't care, i never interact with them. UNTIL i go home for a few days, and during the time i'm there, nonstop, from the hours of 7am-10pm fucking tiktok is played at max volume. my mother is on that shit genuinely all day. she does nothing but work in the mornings and then watch tiktok WHILE the tv is on for the entire rest of the day. my family's home is 3 rooms total, i can't get away from it. my work gave me a noise cancelling headset for customer calls and that is the only way i can survive going home without losing my mind. tiktok die challenge. i also overhear my roommate's tiktok sometimes but that is nothing but sonic and pokémon, so it isn't anywhere near as smotheringly repetitive—i guess those awful songs are only apply to one particular faction of tiktok? idk

the anxiety song just so happened to be big when i visited home recently. i'm sure it's fine, really. but fucking christ.

Literally my least favourite thing. I am sorry.

The song is fine but I don't really like the trend of song topic being so in your face. I prefer I dunno... Artistic lyricism? Poetry in lyrics? "Anxiety anxie-ty anxiety is getting me" doesn't do it for me. It's catchy though.

With that said I hate the video and it seems like there's a significant trend of bourgeois aesthetics in american music. It's liberal upper middle class coded.

It's a catchy pop song, but I share a similar sentiment. I question if this song would be as popular if it had an original beat?

It gives me anxiety

She doesn’t differentiate it enough from the gotye song. I like when people do samples well, but it sounds like she’s doing Kareoke but swapping out the lyrics. I don’t necessity hate it but I don’t love it.

Listening to it right now and that's my thinking too. David Guetta has kind of ruined me on these kind of call backs. I don't even know if I'd call them samples. Its not like when Beastie Boys used Led Zeppelin to produce their earlier albums, where the samples are very chopped and screwed. Its just the backing track loosely rearranged. Its almost like nostalgia bait.
