US President Donald Trump says Russia has made a "pretty big concession" to end the war in Ukraine by stopping short of taking the "whole country."

Not for the lack of trying

How kind of Putin. USA is truly a Russia's oblast.

And china made a yuge concession by not simply cutting off all US trade and instead just levying tariffs.

The world is held hostage by three sociopaths, Donald Trump, Vladimir Putin and Benjamin Netanyahu. Two of them are war criminals, and the third is waiting to happen at any moment.

Israel is like a city in US. They have 10 million population. They are local, not global players.

I fully expected you to say Xi

I don't want to excuse Netanyahu here. He certainly belongs behind bars in my opinion. However, he only holds a part of the world hostage rather than all of it. I see him on par with folks like Kim Jon Un or Mohamed bin Salman rather than Trump or Putin.

I guess by that standard, I made a "pretty big concession" by not doing that 3rd push-up. I totally could have, promise.

[–] [email protected] 54 points 4 days ago

Concession? They tried to do exactly that and are still trying.

Trump really is a Russian

[–] [email protected] 25 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Fuck the US. It's on the same level as Russia and China for me at this point.

[–] [email protected] 16 points 4 days ago

China's honestly gone up a rank, and that isn't because it has changed

[–] [email protected] 15 points 4 days ago (1 children)

When he dies it’s going to be the party of the century

[–] [email protected] 11 points 4 days ago (2 children)

After he leaves office, I don't really want to think about him again.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Do not forget that he is thinking about a third term!

[–] [email protected] 4 points 4 days ago

Doesn't he sell Trump 2028 and rewrite the rules? That's more than just thinking about it.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I’m hoping the good lord takes him home soon

[–] [email protected] 1 points 4 days ago (2 children)

And leave us with Vance? It's the same incompetence.

[–] [email protected] 3 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (3 children)

The Republicans will be all too busy backstabbing each other for the foreseeable future in such a scenario. Trump is in the position he is in now because a majority of GOP voters have a stupid fucking cultish worship of him and nobody else. They tried pushing for other less erratic GOP candidates, but they had managed to brainwash their moronic voters so effectively that they are no longer capable of worshipping anyone else but Trump.

As soon as he is gone, it is going to be a free-for-all among the Republicans, an absolute clusterfuck of a fight to become the next Trump and Vance is not going to be even remotely close to being a candidate for that. He is Trumps pick because he is a spineless vapid non-entity with even less brains than Trump himself. He will not be in a position to do much except getting betrayed by his own party for the rest of the term.

Vance doesn’t have the cult following and won’t be able to garner the loyalty. Cults always fail apart when they lose their leader

[–] [email protected] 6 points 4 days ago (1 children)

True. Maga hates the man. As soon as he's no longer "under Trump's guidance" he won't be able to afford much.

Much kindness, such wow

[–] [email protected] 7 points 4 days ago

This man is just so unbelievably stupid. smh.

Trump the coward. The definition of 'getting peace' is to just make the smaller side capitulate to the bigger one. And then act surprised when said peace doesn't hold long.

No surprises that Russia is volunteering to mediate the Iran-US conflict either. Friends always watch each other's backs.

A mediator doesn't take sides. It's the most basic principle. If you're gonna do that - taking the easiest and cowardly way - just step aside and let more competent people handle it before you make an even bigger mess. Some 'help' simply isn't worth the hassle.

And Russia did not take more land for a simple reason - not because of concessions or kindness, but because the small David held their ground against the Goliath invading them. It's that simple, nepo crybaby.

Things a rapist would say.

[–] [email protected] 130 points 5 days ago

Things a rapist is saying

[–] [email protected] 67 points 5 days ago (3 children)

He could have killed her too, but he ONLY raped her. What a beneficent act. /s

[–] [email protected] 14 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago)

It's even dumber than that. Because, using the same parallel, he didn't do it only because she kicked him in the balls and pulled out a knife (meaning: Ukraine defended itself, it was not Moscow's decision to stop).

[–] [email protected] 10 points 4 days ago

Exactly where my mind went as well.

Bet he's thought about it.

I hate this timeline. I hate that my manager, a WOMAN, voted for this POS. Every post I make on Facebook about what he did today is an indirect laser beamed thought to her “this is YOUR fault!”

[–] [email protected] 22 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Oh if they could, they would

[–] [email protected] 17 points 4 days ago

I was about to say, they tried. They have been trying for three years. They've committed a TON more forces than Ukraine, and still haven't made significant progress. The invasion is a military failure on pretty much every level, and it's only the most delusional that think Russia still has any chance of actually pulling off a successful annexation or occupation for any significant length of time.

[–] [email protected] 72 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Look at the stupid America has unleashed on the world.

Put your dicks away, you’re stinking up the place.

[–] [email protected] 8 points 4 days ago

I’m sorry for us.

[–] [email protected] 38 points 5 days ago (1 children)

I hate that so many in my country are oblivious to the repercussions of electing this monster.

[–] [email protected] 9 points 4 days ago* (last edited 4 days ago) (5 children)

Maybe half of you shouldn't of stayed home to 'punish Kamala'?

People who didn't vote are just as guilty as those who voted for Trump.

[–] [email protected] 19 points 4 days ago (1 children)

Especially the ones who refused to vote for her on the basis of the genocide in Palestine as if Trump wasn't just as bad or worse in supporting Israel and as if the American establishment hadn't always supported Israel. That idea that somehow not voting for her in that election would improve a single thing about that genocide was so stupid.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 4 days ago (1 children)

I was saying as if everyone before Biden was also supporting Israel, somehow Israel became such big news around election year

Hey now, it was slightly more than a third, not half!

[–] [email protected] 5 points 4 days ago

Girl you’re preaching to the goddamn choir here. I’m so fucking sick of saying “I fucking told you so, dipshit” to so many people. I’m so, so tired.
