A worthy successor to 4chan.

[–] Roundeyegweilo@lemm.ee 2 points 1 month ago

It wasn't bad enough she crashed the UK's economy? Damn son, crack on with your dumb ass.

[–] Given2fly@lemm.ee 11 points 1 month ago

True embarrassment to the UK.

[–] helvetpuli@sopuli.xyz 6 points 1 month ago

Her parents are so disappointed.

[–] Aceticon@lemmy.dbzer0.com 13 points 1 month ago

Time to start live streaming a lettuce again to as the traditional Liz Truss standard for how long her projects last...

[–] zipzoopaboop@lemmynsfw.com 8 points 1 month ago

You mean colossal failure Liz truss who couldn't outlast a head of lettuce?

[–] CrowyTech@feddit.uk 6 points 1 month ago

I think I'll join the platform that the lettuce launches, it'll likely last longer

[–] slacktoid@lemmy.ml 11 points 1 month ago

So it will shut down in a week as well?

[–] Barking@lemmy.world 6 points 1 month ago

So...we will all be making accounts to post photos of our lettuces?

[–] briever@lemmy.world 17 points 1 month ago (1 children)

She's a moron, always has been - but who is the money behind her?

[–] TheFeatureCreature@lemmy.ca 17 points 1 month ago

I'm sure if you follow the paper trail enough it'll lead back to either Russia or the Heritage Foundation from the US.

It is yet another grifting disinformation factory.

[–] TemplaerDude@lemm.ee 5 points 1 month ago

This clown cannot get over the fact that she's a complete and utter failure in almost all ways a human being can be. And she's a despicable slug, too.

There is already a free speech platform called Gab Social, which follows America's 1st amendment. How could a fool like Liz Truss pretend to care about free speech, when people in her country routinely get the police at their door for posting memes? I'm so sick of free speech being nothing more than a trend or a buzzword used by rich people.

Lemme guess, they're gonna launch a private Mastodon server.

[–] ThomasCrappersGhost@feddit.uk 5 points 1 month ago

I hope not.

[–] Global_Liberty@lemmy.ml 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I sincerely hope this is the last time I read about Liz Truss and she just disappears into the sands of history.

[–] ThomasCrappersGhost@feddit.uk 3 points 1 month ago

Nah, she’s gonna get mentioned everytime the shortest PMship did the worst damage ever…ratio’d of course.

[–] MapleEngineer@lemmy.world 21 points 1 month ago

Aren't there enough right wing echo bunkers at this point?

[–] Wimster@lemmy.wtf 10 points 1 month ago

There we go again. Another Trump bitch trying to please the orange morron. Maybe she can share a bed with Nigel Farage.

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.ml 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

She even talks like a Trump. Is it contagious?

[–] Sixtyforce@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 month ago

Something is, since conservatives appear to be the same organization operating globally now.

But I really think they're opportunists mostly just dumbly copy catting each other with se exceptions.

Mind virus.

Oh good, yet another shitty twitter clone.

I don't get why they keep developing separate ones. at some point it has to be quicker to just roll mastodon and defederate from all other instances

[–] inconel@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Truth social is mastodon fork so following the suit is possible. On my masto feed someone posted its link as reference and I was surprised thay my masto client handled it as just like one of the instance

[–] PrettyFlyForAFatGuy@feddit.uk 1 points 1 month ago

figured as much

[–] Sturgist@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 month ago

Wouldn't charging money for blue checks or adding a subscription leave them open to lawsuits? That's really the only reason I can think of, wanting to make money.

[–] daggermoon@lemmy.world 10 points 1 month ago

Hey, I've seen this one before.

[–] latenightnoir@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 month ago

Oh, sod off, Liz...

[–] peetabix@sh.itjust.works 8 points 1 month ago

Cheese markets

[–] llamatron@lemmy.world 34 points 1 month ago

Jesus, this woman is desperate to stretch out her 15 minutes. How sad

[–] dajoho@sh.itjust.works 55 points 1 month ago

LettuceConnect

[–] Deathray5@lemmynsfw.com 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I remember Lizz Truss. For a short time I could winge about the conservative party to cab drivers without any fear that they would agree with them.

One of the good things about the UK is Trump style behaviour does not work here for long. Unfortunately it's more of an objection to incompetence than bigotry but that's life

[–] Eezyville@sh.itjust.works 10 points 1 month ago (4 children)

Didn't that Trump style behavior convince you guys to leave the EU?

[–] Deathray5@lemmynsfw.com 1 points 1 month ago

Fair. You have a point.

Though notably Boris didn't get away with everything after the fact. There were penalties for incoherent and inconsistent COVID and his hypocrisy.

Though it does concern me that it's entirely possible that only happened because A) a conservative wrote a report bashing his parties and B) right wing media groups didn't defend Boris

[–] Wanderer@lemm.ee 1 points 1 month ago

In a way.

But there was a lot of lies that represented legitimate concerns and remain didn't really do a good enough job of bringing leave along with them. Pleanty of "we got lied too, no on told us". No no no no. Remain clearly said the truth and you listened to the lies.

Also fish was fucking weird. Seems like people will die over fish.

But people were told immigration would go down. People have been wanting immigration to go down for 60 years and it's never happened. First direct vote about immigration going down is obviously going to be a big factor. Didn't happen though so far right will win soon.

[–] Womble@lemmy.world 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

Not really, the politicians with a Trumpian style (Johnson and Truss) came after brexit and got there because of the polarisation caused by brexit (and had the example of Trump himself). There was definitely a lot of lying and false claims that were used by the leave campaign in order to get brexit and it shared some similarities with Trump, but it wasnt politics in the the style of being completely divorced from reality and overwhelming incompetance that defines Trump.

Yes but if you bring up that fact, they can’t act self righteous

sounds like an ad for a hernia strap!

[–] Cryan24@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Lettuce social.

[–] FriendBesto@lemmy.ml 21 points 1 month ago (1 children)

So, do you guys think that her social media platform will last longer or less than a piece of lettuce?

[–] YurkshireLad@lemmy.ca 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

A lettuce probably has more leaves than her platform will have users.
