Corruption. The answer is always corruption.

The thing is that even though there are other free options out there, companies like this will go the extra mile by setting you up with healthcare professionals. The free services only help you navigate the tangled bureaucracy of the VA. These paid companies can make the difference in thousands of dollars of compensation over a year. The real problem is that the VA process is so convoluted that there even is a demand for these companies. If the VA was run well, this demand wouldn’t exist.

There are free services that do that too. It's how I got rated. Fuck these scamming cunts.

The VA doesn’t find out what’s wrong with vets, they ask vets to come with deep medical knowledge and diagnoses to support their claims. In my branch at least.. diagnoses weren’t handed out. Only Motrin.

As you say, these companies give vets the ammo needed to support their claims, and that requires a medical provider’s time. Whoever is behind these articles is advocating against veterans receiving benefits once the military breaks them.

Veterans Service Officers are a legally protected position which provides Veterans with that information. The law is to attempt to stop 'non-certified' VSOs from offering for pay services...

Even though legally anyone can look up the VA codes and what counts for benefits.

I can see both sides. I'm generally against 'for pay' services but most VSOs are booked out for months... So, what are ya gonna do?
