Thinking.

There are so many people I have a lot in common with and could get along with really well - if they would treat me with respect.

They’re always so shocked and angry when you set a boundary or leave, too. Like… you expect me to just take that?

Got a new phone and now I've been locked out of my banking app in trying to set it up πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ Will have to sort it out tomorrow. I'm kind of annoyed.

Anyone looking for ideas for carpet?

here's an idea for you!

Just think, someone had to make that carpet, someone else had to decide to stock it to sell, and someone else had to buy it for this to happen. So many people you have to wonder "what were they thinking?!"

It’s giving suburban RSL or casino vibes

how did you find MILs 70s carpet? She had lovely matching shantung cushions and curtains.

looked like a cinema or hotel

akshully , I do very plain walls and rugs and stuff , that's so I can cover the walls with art prints, with reliefs and the shelves with object .

That actually sounds very nice, especially as I know you collect seashells and things. Before this place, my houses all had an antique store jungle bazaar vibe. Since I had the kids and started living here it's been no indoor plants and nothing quirky and interesting, just a very practical and boring "doesn't matter if it gets dirty/found on someone's nature strip" vibe. With the exception of the kids art and photos of course.

So 70s chic.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago (1 children)

I have to admit I kinda like it. Then again, I grew up in a brown Berber and fake walnut veneer paradise so anything oddly colourful appeals to me.

[–] [email protected] 4 points 1 week ago

Having some colour is definitely good. Especially atfer looking too long at the modern grey look everything is done in these days. But there can be too much of a good thing.

Just saw first comedy show if the season. So so good. Saw: He Huang (absolute best of the night), Nazeem Hussein, Dave Hughes, and an Australian/African girl who's name I sadly forgot who was second best for me - has her own show and is going to be on taskmaster this season. It was a work social club thing and I almost bailed but I'm so glad it didn't. Buzzing 😊

Partner officially diagnosed with ADHD, and a treatment plan now in place. I'm so proud of him!

We got back to Brunswick, had a couple of Doppel Ename from Mokum, and then got some beer from Blackhearts and Sparrows. It's been a lovely birthday.

Thank you all so much for your birthday wishes and good vibes!! I don't know where I would be without you all! πŸ’œπŸ’œπŸ’œ

Suddenly have an absolutely raging craving for prawns. Nice juicy prawn heads drowning in flavour... maybe a nice prawn curry or tacos... that'll be tomorrow's treat.

Meanwhile it's back to having the fan on full blast to try and get to sleep. Too hot in here!
