Every once in a while an anniversary comes around that makes me feel very old.
Same. In a rare moment my uncle switched away from ESPN to watch the premiere. I got to see the first episode the first day it aired.
I was 13 and The Simpsons were very important to me and my best friend at the time, we were big comedy nerds. We were stoked for this show, I think we went to his house to see the premiere. It didn't disappoint, and Futurama continues to be my favorite show of all time. That friend ended up being a reasonably successful comedy writer, unlike me, lol.
Feels like a long time ago now.
I'll start my own pilot, with blackjack and hookers. In fact, forget the blackjack. Ah, screw the whole thing.
I am already in my pajamas...
