I mean, the economic & health solution is "don't drink".
But if you want to drink less, drinking less is a good solution. Like - just off the top of my head - I dunno, something along the lines of alternating between alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Easy 50% reduction in consumption (tho, more expensive if your intent is to get smashed), can enjoy the buzz of being drunk for longer, stay hydrated and reduce the hangover.
