A bunch of fascist Christians support Israel, which is an odd flex considering history. But we all know, they think they'll get into "heaven" if they support Israel. It's not about protecting humanity, it's all about them. Never was anything else.

Supporting Israel for many hardline Christians is a means to an end - it’s a step of fulfilling what they interpret to be biblical prophecy. They don’t actually give two shits about Jewish people, they care about Israelis.

They also believe that when the Rapture comes all Jews will either instantly convert to Christianity or burn in hell so yea, definitely an odd flex supporting Israel for the most anti-Jewish reason possible. They are called Evangelicals (so you don't confuse them with other fascist Christians).

Netanyahu cited one poll that showed 82% of Americans support Israel.

Sounds like an AIPAC poll.

Stop calling it "war". It's not war. It's a genocide. It's called genocide.

I think calling it a war on the civilian population if Gaza gets the point across without inviting arguments about whether it's technically genocide. But yeah, just calling it a war without specifying who it's against is basically pro-Israel propaganda.

You expected Netanyahu to admit that he's committing genocide?

[–] [email protected] 11 points 6 months ago (1 children)

No, but I expect media outlets to label it properly.

I very much doubt that Democracy Now is carrying water for Netanyahu.

I completely agree, which is why I expect way better from them!
