The amount of bullying I received for being asexual, this does not surprise me.

conversation therapy

These people should have their pronouns changed to was/were because that way of thinking is fucking dead to me.

Patriarchy and the baggage it brings with it is awful. It's a systemic denial of so much of reality and does everything it can to erase it from existence, so that even well meaning people will be confused when they encounter it.

This is why a lot of allos are completely insane and potential rapists since they also tend to do vile stuff just because they can't comprehend that people people can not give a f about anyone sexually. These people get offended at asexual or potentially asexual fictional characters, let alone irl and they also make up shit like this.

But just remember that Nikola Tesla and Isaac Newton, some of the greatest minds in history were asexual, and also lived well into their 80s.

I feel like I could just do calisthenics and be fine

How on earth could a person be offended by someone being asexual lol

From my experience prejudiced people judge men, who are single for "too long", negatively because they must be secretly hiding their homosexuality. So to them, its all one and the same.

I'm biologically female, and I've had the same issue. I once had an elderly male acquaintance start loudly discussing my sexuality in a crowded cafe, announcing to the room that I must be a lesbian since I didn't have a romantic partner. He went on and on about it until everyone in the cafe was looking at me and laughing.

I just don't understand the obsession with discussing other people's private lives. It's private for a reason. That episode would be enough for me to break contact with that person permanently.

It doesn't even need to be private, though. You could be public about your asexuality and people still shouldn't make a big deal about it. You aren't into sex? Cool, I don't like coffee.

Sometimes when I talk to people, they seem to earnestly believe half the population is only good for being incubators. >.>

For some reason being happy by yourself is very offensive to a lot of people.
