I am looking for mods!

1. The "good" part of our community means we are pro-empathy and anti-harassment. However, we don't intend to make this a "safe space" where everyone has to be a saint. Sh*t happens, and life is messy. That's why we get things off our chests.

2. Bigotry is not allowed. That includes racism, sexism, ableism, homophobia, transphobia, xenophobia, and religiophobia. (If you want to vent about religion, that's fine; but religion is not inherently evil.)

3. Frustrated, venting, or angry posts are still welcome.

4. Posts and comments that bait, threaten, or incite harassment are not allowed.

5. If anyone offers mental, medical, or professional advice here, please remember to take it with a grain of salt. Seek out real professionals if needed.

6. Please put NSFW behind NSFW tags.

So, it kind of sucks. I'm a caretaker alter in a system. Our bio dad doesn't consider me to be his daughter, only the host, but the rest of the family indeed sees me as their daughter. That's why I'll say bio dad and not just dad.

I forgot what i said, it was something about how i thought trans people deserved rights and not to be misgendered and how i supported gay marriage. also, my bio dad was using a lot of slurs. he said that because I was so kind and "soft-hearted", I was being very sensitive like a "liberal" ("liberal" being used as an insult here).

seriously, just because I want rights for everyone and not use slurs?? why is that not likeable?

These are the things bigoted people have to tell themselves to feel like they're in the right. Instead of prioritizing dopamine loops people get from being nice, they focus on the dopamine they get from tribalisticly attacking groups they have been taught to hate.

In his mind trans people are bad because they're different. He's probably had this ingrained into him from a very young age. If he's in the US it was probably learned through religion.

Thank you. the host is transmasc and genderfluid, so he considers her transmasc but then constantly tells them they're a girl. he uses they/them pronouns for them, though, which is one of their pronouns so I don't really know.

he believes there's a god but he's not religious, he's an old-fashioned right-winger though

Because some people simply need to make others feel miserable to make themselves feel, something. It's the defining factor of so many people right now. Unfortunately, it sounds like your bio. Dad is one of those people. Aka: a bigoted asshole.

I'm one of those people that would take that as a personal challenge, just to be as nice as I possibly could, especially to him. Simply because I know it drives them crazy.
