A community to satirize conservtive and right-wing "ideals".

This community (now) exists as a pressure valve, a place to process through humor the often frustrating world of conservative politics. Above all, this is NOT the place for serious conservative support/viewpoints/arguments. There are other places on Lemmy for that if you desire it.

Rules:

  1. Always follow .world instance rules

  2. Parody With Purpose: This is a space for humorous takes on conservative politics. We welcome satire, but draw the line at content that promotes racism, sexism, homophobia, or other forms of bigotry.

  3. Memes Over Manifestos: This community focuses on humor and parody, not serious political debate. There are plenty of spaces for earnest conservative discussion, this isn’t one of them.

  4. Highlight Contradictions: Sometimes the best content points out inconsistencies and hypocrisies in conservative talking points. Creative commentary is encouraged.

  5. Public Figures Fair Game: Politicians and pundits can be satirized, but no targeting of private individuals, doxxing, or harassment.

Children of public figures under the age of 14 are also off-limits, a 16 year old has enough free agency to break with or adopt their parents views. An 8 year old kid doesn't.

  1. No News Zone: Memes only, news or other serious content should be sent to the nearest relevant comm. Meme's of current events, however, are encouraged.

  2. Clear Satire: Make your satirical intent reasonably clear. We’re here to mock bad ideas, not accidentally spread them. If you're unsure how it will be taken, feel free to DM the mod team ahead of time or explicitly tag it as satire in the body.

A note on ChadMcTruth: Chad's content is 100% satire, but his work can sometimes be hard to tell, but if he posted it be assured, its satire.

  1. Relevant Content: All posts should relate to conservative politics or ideologies in some way somewhere in your post. Either in the title or the meme itself.

For more general political memes please see [email protected]

  1. Community Respect: Disagree with fellow members all you want, but personal attacks aren’t welcome. Save the criticism for the ideas, not each other.

  2. Moderation Discretion: Mods will use reasonable judgment in applying these rules. We’ll be fair, but firm. These kinds of comms have a tendency to get off the rails, so we might seem overzealous in moderation sometimes.

  3. For the moment, i'm allowing properly tagged NSFW content as long as its funny and relevant. Don't make me regret it.

And above all, HAVE FUN!

Thought I had seen the dumbest shit in my city already, but apparently not. They were going the same way this morning so it was staring at me half of the way to work.

Why do people in the us not steal the catalytic converter of lifted trucks? You get some money, they get fucked on their next yearly exam(I hope you have these in the USA). It's like extra tax on dumbasses.

They totally do. Once, I was staying the week at a hotel in Houston and one of the questions asked by reception was "what kind of car do you drive?", apparently trucks and SUVs were heavily targeted for catalytic converter theft in the area.

Because it's a felony and yokels tend to be armed and unhinged.

There's someone who lives a few houses down from me that has a similar sticker, except the punisher's mask is colored in to be the American flag. It has trumps stupid hair as well.

It's fuckin disgusting.

The self described lover of federal government and corrupt nepo real estate grifters, the punisher.

I don't think the punisher is the kind of guy who would care about someone sneaking across the border

He is however the kind of guy that would have major problems with extrajudicial kidnappings and imprisonment as that is exactly the kind of systematic victimization of innocents he's motivated by.

He would probably shoot at few a of them if he wasn't up on the news because he was in a coma for a bit or something

"How was I supposed to know they where really allowed to grab people off the street, they look like thugs"

That driver is everything bad about the USA all rolled into one. Our would would be 1000x better if they were no longer part of it. Too bad they are the ones who randomly kill people they don't agree with, so they have a feeling of invincibility and so it's a recursive loop where they only increase in how much of a piece of shit they are. Fear keeps people in check.

Pay to lift truck so you can pay to get an extension that makes your tow kit reach where it needed. Will it work, sure. Will it put torque on the frame in a way it wasn't meant to, also sure. Need to get bags of dirt/cement or any other purpose of having a truck bed, now it's going to be a pain in the ass to get them in and out. Throw in the shortened lifespan of the vehicle/higher maintenance cost and it makes complete sense to do it.

Don't forget the larger wheel with low profile tires extended out causes more strain on the suspension, wheel bearings and steering components because of the extra unsprung weight. Just think of holding a bike wheel while spinning it, swaying it side to side and the holding it out further. The larger rotating mass and wider wheels makes the steering heavier, causes the car to track, changed the scrub radius... More I can't think off.

I have yet to hear a real argument for lifting a truck whilst keeping the straight axle. The very, verrry marginal clearance gains for approach/departure angle while off-roading can usually be better achieved with a bumper delete instead, which doesn’t ruin the driving performance or increase your chance of rollovers. And instead of thousands spent upfront and extra maintenance cost later, removing parts is free.

Now, put some double wishbones and universal joints, that’s an immediately justifiable capability to pursue. But these mall crawlers with the magic pop-out steps are for emotionally stunted manchildren who are transparently buying into someone else’s idea of what a man is.

The massive offset on those wheels are an even bigger issue. It messes up handling and ruins the ball joints and wheel bearings, while making it more dangerous for cyclists and pedestrians and throwing stones in the air for anyone unfortunate enough to be near that thing in motion.
