I got podcast addict, where does one find the free RSS feeds for a podcast? I have a couple bootlegs already on there

Pocket casts is what I use.

Fun fact this is why I quit Spotify. I pay for your service. Stop advertising things at me like podcasts from people I think should be shot

Spotify auto curating podcast playlists is such an insane idea. I have no idea who that's for, it's aggravating as hell

I just accepted I'd have to miss out on a couple podcasts when I left. Them putting random podcasts in my feed like they were already subscribed to was what made me finally delete it.

Though I barely used it after they cut a Palestinian artist off of the site.

I'm a lib and just keep the sub going because of all the people using it but it makes me feel bad

antenna pod on android is pretty good you can either stream or download stuff. I havent used many different apps tho so I cant really compare it to anything else

Jumble.top is where I get most of my bootleg feeds. I use Spotify for music and podcast addict for podcasts. Don't like to mix the two.

I'm a jumble head myself and yeah i pay for family premium for like 5 people so I'll still use it for music

I host a AudioBookShelf server and use its Android app (it has iOS too) to connect to it. Its nice because it downloads the files to the system and then you stream it from that system. You can also create RSS feeds out of stuff in the collection and share them to people. So you could sub to a premium podcast and share an RSS feed from your server to give other people access.

It can search the Apple Podcast library and then import it to the system.

Its a good way to preserve dead podcasts too and still listen to them using a podcasting app.

Very cool i might actually do this

I love it. Getting it accessible outside my network was a pain, but once it was set up, it was easy.

Years ago I had a coworker who was trying to work his way through the entirety of Joe Rogan.

I just remember him telling me “Wow, he says the N- word a lot” almost every day.

He was probably the most jaded person I’ve ever met.

why would anybody do that? as if he's missing deep lore or some shit lmao

He’d occasionally have a cool guest on but at this point he’s gone so far down the rabbit hole nobody cool will ever be on his podcast again.

I use musicbee and grab bootleg premium feeds from jumble.top.

I use Podcast Republic (Android-only, I'm pretty sure). Been using it for years after PocketCasts was sold off and enshittified. I like it because it doesn't try to be "beautiful" while sacrificing function.

I'm on Android I'll try it out

Try AntennaPod instead. Podcasts are searchable on there. You don't need to know the rss feeds.

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago

Podcasts are also searchable on podcast addict. I assumed OP meant bootleg rss feeds

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago

I also use this and it works really well.

Been using antenna pod for years and since it's open source I don't have to worry about it getting bought out or whatever

[–] [email protected] 0 points 1 week ago

I'll give it a shot
