Miyamoto shares Nintendo is working on the sequel to the Super Mario Bros. Movie. Expected April 3rd, 2026 in the US. Some Mario games release dates are announce in the end:

Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door - May 23, 2024.
Luigi's Mansion 2 HD - June 27, 2024
Dr. Mario, Mario Golf and Mario tennis available March 12, 2024 on Game Boy Nintendo Online.

Are the 2d and 3d games made by the same team? I assumed they were different teams
