Usually because people take it, it's not as effective so they take more. Very easy to overdose that way.
A lot of "expired" stuff ends up being snagged by vets, the lower efficacy doesn't matter as much when you're doing pet sized doses
Would they take Restavit? I know there’s a crossover with human drugs and they do take donations of leftover meds (to give free to pets of homeless clients) but it might be weird to give them expired human meds.
I also have a few tubes of Melbcat’s thyroid meds from like 3 years ago but they may not be good still
I don't actually know if they take from non-pharmacy sources at all
I know my vet takes unused meds from pets that have passed, and I gave them both the extra bottle of oral gel plus the oil based 4cyte that I didn’t want to force Melbcat to take
