It would phase out EV credits. Totally destroying Tesla.
"Under the bill passed by the House, the consumer tax credit for new electric vehicles (worth up to $7,500) would phase out after 2026. But for most vehicles, it would actually become unavailable at the end of 2025, because it would only be available for vehicles made by automakers that have sold fewer than 200,000 EVs. (That's a return to how the tax credit was structured before the Biden administration.)"
He's apparently also upset with the fact that Trump didn't appoint the NASA administrator he likes, and signed a deal with OpenAI rather than xAI

Did they add this specifically to fuck with him? Is this retaliation for something that happened behind the scenes?
I mean Trump has been pretty pro gas, anti-EV for a while, well before and all during their little dastardly duo phase.
There’s no way this is the rationale given he’s decided to do countless other, far dumber shit such as ally himself with a base that doesn’t buy his cars
