Quick question. When a country involved in a conflict is holding some of your citizens hostage and you’re considering which side of the conflict to join, do you help or attack the country holding your citizens hostage?

Personally if I were in charge that would be something that caused me to attack the hostage taker, not join their side.

Look, if Israel is allowed to purposefully sink US warships, they'll be allowed to kill a bunch of US citizens.

Did anyone even get a slap on the wrist for Rachel Corrie's death?

recent history has taught me that you're supposed to bomb the area with the hostages still inside

Also cut offs all food, water, fuel, medicine, and power to the region. Your family that is being held hostage isn't safe as long as they can access medical supplies or the occasional meal.

Silly Billy; if a member of my family was taken hostage, OBVIOUSLY the worst enemies of the hostage taker are the REAL bad guys!

Also the hostage taker still needs more money from my family, including the people he took hostage, so I need to get on top of that.

It depends. If the cops shoot your family that's because the hostage taker was the bad guy. But if someone shoots the cops because the cops took your family hostage then the person shooting the cops are also the bad guy. See your family doesn't matter only the Rules Based International Order matters and the cops can never do wrong.

Or something. I dunno I'm not a lib
