Have you tried Spotube?
Not sure what Revanced changes/add/subtracts, but Spotify is basically Spotify without ads and you can pick different sources (ex. YouTube) for the music.
Spotube is also complying with a cease and desist from Spotify and can no longer access the Spotify API or anything related with the service.
I hope spotdl still lives on, I'll probably start downloading before it's all gone
That's unfortunate.
Do you know when that is supposed to happen (currently works for me)?
They have already stopped development and removed all versions with Spotify implementation.
