Yeah that's how fascism works. It's a libidinal pleasure reached from being openly evil, and nobody being able to do anything about it. Throwing off the shackles of Liberal Moralism to openly become what you always were encouraged to be under capitalism deep down, but concealed.
That old trueism about everyone thinking they are the good guy? It's not actually correct. There are billions of people who get off on being cruel, sadistic and anti-human. They know they are evil and they relish it.
