In case you thought cars would become safer as technology developed... rest assured, Tesla is finding newer and ever-dumber ways to make their cars dangerous to occupants (and others).

TL;DR: If you're in a Tesla and it loses power (like in a fire), the only way to open the doors is often an unlabeled wire behind either two panels or a speaker grill. Tesla owners are DIYing janky rip cords to make that wire easier to pull to escape.

What retard thought the best engineering decision was to make a power door? Shouldnt be allowed to make any decisions?

Also retracting door handles that freeze in the closed position so you can't get in in the winter.

There's nothing wrong with a power door if it also has an easily accessible physical handle as a backup.

The fact that the hard to find physical release on a tesla is likely to damage the doors is like a one two punch of shitty design.
