I've had donations totalling £180. (It would have been more but paypal deducts fees unless you pay by "friends and family."

Thank you so much to the people who donated! But I desperately need another £220. This is extremely urgent, without the car we can't go to hospital appointments, get food, collect prescriptions or anything.

REPOST:

Sorry to ask for help again so soon, but this is desperate. As you know I have been housebound for a while and will be for a while longer due to the foot surgery and tendon issue. Even when I am able to walk outside properly again, my mobility will always be limited due to issues from my stroke. Because of this I have been relying on my landlady to drive me places when necessary. I have many hospital appointments, and the car is necessary for her to collect our groceries and prescriptions, especially now our internet grocery ordering is down due to technical difficulties. Not to mention being able to just go anywhere - even when I am able to wear shoes again the nearest bus stop is over half a mile away, very difficult when disabled. I can't manage without the car and I can't afford taxis.

But my landlady has been told today that the car needs new brake pads and discs and isn't safe to drive without them. What with her living on an old age pension, me being unable to pay rent for months now and having no other lodgers at the moment, she can't get the money to pay for this. Her financial situation is so bad that she has put the house on the market but so far no offers.

With no-one else to ask, I told her I would ask here. While I usually ask for vouchers to avoid issues with the DWP that may arise from taking money, the situation is so dire that I'm asking for actual money now. She doesn't have paypal or any other online payment method but I do. The brake pads, discs and labour have been quoted at £400.

If anyone is able to help with this please write a note in the message box, indicating that it's a gift from a friend/family member to help me avoid issues with the DWP (British benefit system, I'll have to explain any incoming money if I win my benefit appeal). Something like "A gift to help you out, from your Uncle Dave/your name" or "A little something to help you out" or "Times are tough - this is for emergencies or whatever you need." or some variation on that. Something to make it obvious it's not a payment for goods or services, that I haven't been working or running a business as I'm not allowed to do that.

I know I ask for help frequently on here and maybe you're sick of me, but I am desperate and don't have anywhere else to turn. This is really urgent, I have upcoming appointments with the endocrinologist about my thyroid cancer medication problems and the neurologist about my stroke treatment, plus regular physiotherapy appointments, and need to collect prescriptions regularly as well as my landlady doing the food shopping now until the online issues are sorted. I know my life is a neverending cascade of downward spiralling problems and you are probably tired of hearing about it but I don't have anyone else to ask.

My paypal is [email protected] and I am extremely grateful for any help.
