I hate how bluesky is seen as a revolution while fediverse devs have been doing shit ton of work for years
They paid marketing money.
I'm pretty sure that's just the establishment liberal media. A real revolution would mean upending their own way of life.
I'm like 95% sure these VC junk apps just pay influencers to join and everyone else follows. I say 95 because I know other platforms have done it, I've just not seen the specific smoking gun for BS yet. But that's probably just because of NDAs.
I can't say for certain, but I know what I'd put my money on.
Not quite. It’s just easier to jump in to mechanics you already know, rather than try to reconceptualise the structure and learn to navigate new pitfalls: oh I need to select a server? Which one is the right one? Oh I need a client, which one? Oh I can’t quote retweet? How do I find interesting people to follow? Is this the right handle in the right server or am I following a bot?
And better work at that
