On one hand, I get .org's admins' reasoning, and don't disagree with the core of it - no one wants a fucking police visit to their house over a hobby project.
On the other hand, it's a strong reason for me to not use Feddit.org (separate from Feddit.uk) comms at all, regardless of the comm's individual position on the ongoing Palestinian genocide.
Have you even read the official feddit.org announcement? There is nothing in there that would prevent a serious discussion of the atrocities of the Israeli government. They simply ask to not call for ethnic clensing of an entire group of people or to relativise the holocaust. That is an extremely low bar (which should be common sense) and if that prevents you from participating in feddit.org comms that is really a you problem.
It's broader than that - it also forbids comparisons of the Israeli government to Nazis. You may say that that's just an issue of tone that doesn't prevent serious discussion, and you aren't wrong - but I have no interest in getting tone policed on a fucking genocide either, regardless of German law.
How exactly can you compare Israel to the historical Nazis without relativising the atrocities of the Nazis including the holocaust?
Remember Godwins law of internet discussions? Thats just a funny way of saying the same thing.

I am well aware of that, but that is totally besides the point.
