Anyone know if we have a version of humansarespaceorcs on Lemmy yet? Some of the content there leaned into "humans are weird monsters" sometimes too.
I've heard watership down described as dramatic irony cosmic horror, since it's cosmic horror from the view of the characters, but the reader perfectly understands everything.
I've seen a Twilight Zone episode like that. Woman is coming out of surgery and her entire head is wrapped in bandages, and when they take them off it reveals a beautiful human.... To the horror of the other people in the room who are hideous aliens!
Probably my favorite episode of all time! I remember watching it the first time as a tween and thinking it was the most original piece of art I had ever seen
