CBC Site Of course the Ottawa resident isn't going to leave Stornoway and move to his suburban McMansion. Unemployable as he is, finding a mover who'll take "I'm sure to win the next election!" as a guarantee of payment is, ummmm, sketchier than most movers will accept.

Because debt loads. Cutting taxes while increasing spending is reckless and stupid, and leads to investors fleeing Canada, leading to the current productivity crisis Canada has. Citing the BoC.

I agree - which is why I opposed the tax cuts.

Both con and lib proposed spending increases, so I'm not sure what your point is.

Cons wanted to increase incarceration rates, which is increased spending. Quite a bit of spending

Cons platform also relies largely on growth in order to meet their budgets, a risky bet considering that didn't play out for harper and his similar platform. They still project a 100bil deficit over the next four years too, even with their huge slashes they wanted to make.
