What is this kind of drone for?

Not an expert: In general swept wings add stability, higher speed capabilities, and better fuel efficiency/reduced drag. Forward swept wings add in maneuverability and more lift at the cost of some stability.

So this would likely be used as a long range scouting drone that can dodge the enemies efforts to shoot it down.

Looks like a versatile, modular platform.

The cargo bay looks like it can be swapped out with just a screwdriver.

The installed module on the right image seems to have slightly different geometry from the module installed in the left image.

The forward swept wing is not ideal for speed or maneuverability - they tend to twist and need heavy reinforcing, and that weight penalty typically isn't a good tradeoff to make. However, it does push the center of lift forward to support a heavy payload in the nose.

Exploding, probably. Quad copters are great for short range kamikaze missions, but burn battery quickly. Fixed wing aircraft are more efficient and can go farther.
