E: I think the bigger problem here is that Twitter was practically tailor-made to reward the fascist rhetorical strategy of "snappy, eye-catching, and wrong." The thread system makes it harder to see rebuttals, it's tailor-made for clipping things out of context, and trying to refute bullshit just boosts it in the algorithm and gains it more eyes.
