RULES
- Be respectful: no harassment, hate speech, bigotry, and/or trolling.
- Encourage conversation in your OP. This means including heavily implicative subject matter when you can and also engaging in your thread when possible.
- Avoid controversial topics (e.g. politics or societal debates).
- Stay calm: Don’t post angry or to vent or complain. We are a place where everyone can forget about their everyday or not so everyday worries for a moment. Venting, complaining, or posting from a place of anger or resentment doesn't fit the atmosphere we try to foster at all. Feel free to post those on [email protected]
- Keep it clean and SFW
- No solicitation such as ads, promotional content, spam, surveys etc.

Going there on my own was already a huge undertaking for me and I'm convinced that I'll find my way. The only thing I fear is the whole visa process (aka. the most important part). Getting a holiday visa was stupidly easy but working visas are apparently pretty difficult to get...
And then there's the housing problem, which hopefully will get better with Albo still in office. It helps that I don't want to live in a big city, though. Sydney is a beautiful city, but man is it busy. Canberra is a bit more relaxed but also a bit bland IMO.
You can do it again, and don't overly focus on the obstacles, rather focus on the opportunities, and see how you can use them to overcome all of it and get there.
You can do this!
