That's roughly 3.5 per cent of Alberta's population. It's also the amount of signatures that will be needed to force a separation referendum

It can’t be that hard to take advantage of this and get a hundred other random referendums. What else should they get everyone to vote on?

I'm just going to leave this here...

The CBC television show, "This Hour has 22 Minutes" now has more than enough signatures for its petition campaign to have Canadian Alliance leader Stockwell Day change his name to Doris Day

The show is using the Alliance referendum formula, that would allow a national vote on any issue, if three per cent of the electorate, or about 350,000 people, signed a petition.

That was HILARIOUS. I think he tried to be funny once and sing a Doris Day song in response. 22 Minutes is absolutely brilliant.

I met Stockwell once. He just ordered a coffee from me at work, I had an urge to do what that other protestor did with the chocolate milk.
