I almost never talk about my problems or issues that fucked me up in my life. Honestly time has healed well, and suppression of emotion actually worked well for me. I know it’s not supposed to be healthy or whatever but it’s fine for me.
I saw a meme that kinda explained it, as applied to grief. There's a diagram of a circle representing grief, and the misconception is that the grief circle shrinks. But it never does. The grief remains the same size. What actually happens is that other circles representing good stuff grow around it, and help you deal with it.
The trick is getting good stuff to actually happen...
Yeah. Psychology is not a hard science though and it’s different strokes for different folks.
