EDIT: Thank you all for reminding me there are things to be hopeful for, and that organising and community are important.

I think the whole humanity is selfish it's evolutionary thing is wrong. Throughout history time and time again humanity has come together and made progress and I think it'll happen again.

I'm like a one-man army promoting A Paradise Built In Hell because she talks all about this. She even references US Military studies of the WWII strategic bombing campaigns being counterproductive because they galvanized the bombed populace. It is a great companion to the Shock Doctrine book.
