Does anyone think it would be a good idea to have a rule to prevent race spoilers on this community till 24hrs after a race?

Given the nature of races being in a different part of the world every time, time zones vary greatly and it's not always possible to watch a race "live".

Personality I would like to stay subbed to this community, so I can get f1 news and posts when I browse Lemmy. But if it isn't possible to make a rule like that and I'm likely to get a spoiler I would have to either stop using Lemmy for 24hrs (oh the horror) or unsub from this community.

Just a thought.

Given there is another f1 community, I subbed to this one as it isn't full of karma whores who spoil race results for upvotes. They add literally nothing to the discussion, and are adamant in their ability to be able to do so. I think this community should be different

That community is pretty much dead, last post is 5 months ago, there is a community at lem.ee but that one has no new posts since 2 years ago and only contains 4 posts. So not sure which one @[email protected] means.

Yeah I was subbed to both when I first joined Lemmy, but this one seemed more active. I've since blocked lemmy.ml so wouldn't see it anyway.

I can't see it now, so not sure. Even without the other community, what good comes from spoilers in the title?
