Is the loss of pacman and AUR that bad?

What things are to be gained? I expect that SELinux and Redhat backing should really make fedora way more secure.

Pretty much no reason to not just use bazzite instead of fedora though, just fedora with some QoL improvements around patents and other small things.

Seems like Bazzite comes with gaming stuff, so it's a no for me.

It's literally just steam. That's it.

uninstalling steam from bazzite is much easier than adding the fixes to fedora

Yeah, Bazzite website makes it pretty clear it installs many other things for gaming and streaming that I totally don't need.

Okay, full list appears to be steam, mangohud, lutris, vkbasalt, and latencyflex. Go with aurora, then, it's the same thing but without those.

What's wrong with just using Aurora instead?

Nothing, that's also a perfectly valid choice.

I had a few weird bugs with Aurora in container management, especially Distrobox. Maybe fixed, but honestly the installation quirks of an immutable distro just piss me off.
