the volume of soap remains the same
the bottle bulges a bit when filled
it's sealed under vacuum to stop it from leaking in transit
Um, I was thinking of tubes of toothpaste. When you change the topography of the outside layer by squeezing, the inside volume goes down. The difference here is that the shape of the bottle springs back which does not happen with toothpaste.
Agree. It's like the air in a packet of chips. Acts as a cushion.
