Registering to a pixelfed instance (lemmy.world)

I’ve tried two emails to register on pixelfed.art. I picked this because it’s a smaller instance and I will generally be posting just art. Has anyone else had issues being accepted to a smaller instance? They seem to do it manually and it’s been two weeks.

I'm pretty sure .art is run alone by Dan who also runs .social. I don't think he built up a mod team yet so it's probably mostly ignored for now.
