The MLPD is weird. ive only ever heard bad things about them and oftentimes they were described as 'cult-like'. that's probably because get the entire inheritances from deceased memberes and have, too my knowledge a lot of nepotism as well as pressuring members or just interested people into donating. this is also evident by the fact that they are an insanely rich small-party. what they do with the money idk but the only political activity is see from them is electoral campaigns/hanging up a lot of signs. i do not recommend the MLPD

The DKP is very solid. very well central-democratically organized and has a lot of very well-read marxists. their stances/electoral campains are principled marxist leninist and so a good job educating it's members and environment. the dkp is one of the very few based organizations in germany so it's a good idea to organize with them

I second this. The inside joke in communist circles in Germany is that the MLPD are a fed op. Might be true, might not, but they are definitely sus and i don't see them doing anything productive. DKP on the other hand, as you say, are solid and worth supporting and organizing with. Their weekly paper Unsere Zeit is also usually worth reading, though i would probably rank them second behind Junge Welt as far as leftist publications in Germany go simply because the latter puts out more articles and has a bigger readership.

Although I agree with both of you on the DKP being very solid overall I've heard some criticism of the "antimonopolistiche strategie", especially that it leans into class compromise with the petty bourgeois. Not that it puts me off too much, especially since I've yet to form an informed opinion on it, but I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on it if you don't mind elaborating, because I have yet to hear a good argument for or against it. Also tagging @[email protected] if you have some thoughts of your own on this.

I honestly don't really know anything about it but maybe this text from the DKP can give you some insight

They're not perfect, but who is? Leftists who expect ideological perfection in every way from their comrades will not get anything done.
