I finished The House on the Borderlands yesterday. It was ok. Not as engrossing as The Night Lands but still very imaginative and having all the elements of a gothic novel.
I've read the Poe short stories just a few years back in a lovely edition called Steampunk Poe, so I might skip them for now.
Gormenghast? It's been quite a while since I've read the trilogy, I find the characters and the world engrossing. 🙂 Greatly recommend. I think I'll do this, then Poe novels and some HP Lovecraft. These are all rereads of course, oh god I did so much reading in my 20s and 30s,
various renditions of Titus Groan have been sampled, the audible version is best and has been bought 👍
also, art books 🥶
