Funny. I encountered exact the same thing a few hours ago in post where somebody called South Korea occupied.
Of course I was first downvoted and then banned after I was pointing out some things. They really don’t like the word „tankie“ on Lemmy.ml…
I don’t mind being banned, I wear it as a badge of honour. But they are cowards and hypocrites, which is rather sad.
The mods and admins are truly fragile cowards, it is remarkable. Being banned from .ml is badge of honor which they hand out like candy.
I don't know why I'd permanently alter my body because some fragile dipshits need a trigger warning for facts about China. I think it's simpler if you hide in the .ml instance, where you are protected by equally fragile mods.
Look into East Germany right now. People who experienced a pseudosocialist dictatorship, where Putin was stationed as a KGB officer, will now lick Putin's boots. Apparently they want to be controlled by Moscow again.

Ignorance is bliss, it apparently is due in part to how western news is not filtered, or at least is filtered differently ðan in ð soviet days, and is as a result, a lot more stressful to viewers.
