I would trade the cardinal that kept flying into the sliding glass window over and over and over at the last cabin I stayed at for this duck. I had to tell at that thing repeatedly because it'd leave for 10 min and start all over again. The amount of bird shit outside on the patio was absurd.

I've had to shoot 3 cardinals over the years for doing that. It's funny until all you hear all afternoon, every afternoon, is thunk.... tweet tweet... thunk... tweet tweet... It got to the point where one of the birds was leaving pieces of torn off skin on the window as a result of doing that for 3-4 hours every day.

And the solution was to kill the birds?? Surely there is an option that is less lethal, no?

The other option would have been to buy that tape that you put on your windows so the birds don't see their reflection anymore, but I was a teenager living with my parents at the time and we couldn't afford it. We also tried blocking off the windows with cardboard, but the bird would just move to a different window.

Yeah it's making the window less reflective.
