Why do people dislike pineapple on pizza?
It is pretty good, especially if you add a nice hot sauce to it.
Most people who are seriously having heated arguments about pineapple on pizza would probably also scoff at a neopolitan and tell you to bring them "real" pizza.
Most of the time is an overly hyperbolic joke. I do not like pineapple on my pizza, I don't particularly care if others do, but it can be fun to pretend like it's a huge problem on the internet.
Because it's not heckin traditional!
Because true pizza doesn't have fruit on it or something like that
except tomato, of course. ... and possibly olives. ... and sometimes pineapple.
Ham and Pineapple pizza is great

If you like pineapple, I'm sure its great. If you don't like pineapple, its gonna ruin the whole fucking dish. You cant just scrape it off. The flavor permeates. Like olives. shudder

This place in town used to make a pizza called “the umami”.
It had pineapple, candied jalapeños, bacon, parmigiana, pesto swirls, and a little mozzarella on an olive oil base.
It was sooooo delicious

Yesssssssss! Sweet heat is where it's at. And as a bonus, my pineapple-hating family won't steal any of it.
Hot + sweet is really good.
