There was a movie about this last year. It was based on a true story, but strays a bit from what actually happened. It's pretty good. It's called Hitman.

Last year? I only know 2007 and 2015 with 2007 being better IMO.

That one. Glen Powell actually showed some serious acting chops in that movie, I really enjoyed it.

I watched this one in the last two weeks, would recommend for sure. They even go into detail about how public hitman requests aren’t a thing. Like other commenters have said, the ‘industry’ is primarily gangs, mobs, corporate or governmental agencies and all of them have their vetted, go-to guys. Not general public, and if you, as a normie, think you’re talking to one? They’re a cop, %100.

I just watched it. It's better than it has any right to be. Fun movie.

The German Name for the Film is "A killer romance". I dont know why they change the english name to an other english name but they did it.

Can recommend the film.

It's all about the marketing. They probably wanted German audiences to know its a romantic comedy and not just an action movie

It’s called Hitman.

There's also a series of science-based, 100% hitman simulator video games of the same name.
