Anyone want to give me IT support? I got a new work laptop, it's supposed to be gruntier than my old one but if I unplug it everything grinds to a halt, applications all run at like 1fps.

I assumed something about a power plan but it's so bad after unplugging that it doesn't even recognise it's unplugged, and so I can't use the taskbar to set the performance. The power plan settings only let me set the screen brightness and stuff like that.

Help?
