What is the differentiation between provoked and unprovoked, being in their domain and being on land?

Attempting to interact with the shark vs. simply being in the water. The article mentions people trying to touch or feed sharks, free them from fishing nets, etc.

I don't really feel sorry for these people. The ones who get attacked while helping, sure, they didn't deserve it, but if you see a shark and think "I'll just hold out my hand with some tasty food", you 100% have it coming.
