I wasn’t forced to vape, I was pretty addicted to nicotine so that’s the only reason I switched to vaping.
Continuing nicotine, regardless of type keeps you addicted longer. It’s stupid to suggest vaping as a way to quit smoking—I might as well tell you to chew nicotine gum all the time.
I don't have a problem with my nicotine addiction. I have a problem with everything smelling like stale smoke, coughing constantly, and feeling all around worse. Vaping did fix those parts.
That’s great, but I’m not addressing people who don’t want to quit. I’m explicitly addressing those who push others to quit by changing nicotine delivery methods.
Also, follow up, it's not stupid, that's literally how we ween people off of addictive substances. You have literally 0 clue what you're talking about and your input provides no value in this conversation. Instead of participating by asserting your (strictly wrong) opinions, perhaps you should ask questions of people that are clearly smarter and better disciplined than you?
My opinions are backed by research-based evidence, not some “common knowledge,” bullshit excuses about “cutting back” and just switching to another nicotine delivery method.

Right. You weren't literally forced to vape. You were left with no other accessible choice except vaping to continue your addiction.
And you completely failed to refute what I said. Your situation was just completely different. The other commenter went into the situation deliberately intending to cut back on their tobacco use. You, on the other hand, went into the situation deliberately intending to find a way to sustain your nicotine addiction. Do you not understand that? Your situation is that you were seeking to dive further into addiction. So that's what happened. And you can blame the chemicals for your addiction all you want, but as an addict myself, I know that you are self-indulgent and not blameless in that situation. You. Chose. To. Start. Vaping. Because. You. Wanted. To. Continue. Your. Nicotine. Intake.
