I mean based on the walmarts per capita (walmart being a major importer of chinese goods as a business strategy) alabama has about 4x.

This means just on like a social level they're going to be devoting more resources to communicating with china and be more dependent on them so I would kinda expect alabama to be devoting slightly more communication with the ccp on average.

Realistically also Cali shares a border with mexico and probably, like texas, devote more resources per capita talking to people across that border than Alabama does.
