We’re talking about jus soli birthright here, where being born on us soil makes you a citizen. As opposed to jus sanguinis where having a citizen parent makes you a citizen
The trump admin is trying to get rid of jus soli, by executive order. Several organizations have sued on the basis that it violates the 14th amendment.
The ruling didn’t make the revocation of birthright citizenship legal. All it said was that lower courts could not put a a nationwide injunction on it.
That actual court cases are still moving forward. But the injunctions are only in affect in small areas.
