the hospital gave me one endone and I basically had to stay there the whole 6 hours it was effective. Went home with nothing.

To be honest ibuprofen might be better for sciatica. Or a combination of ibby + panny.
Doctors are too scared to prescribe. But the problem is that people genuinely in need are left to suffer and have their ability to function affected because of ineffective pain managment. Surely there is a better way, eg to risk assess a patient, prescribe smaller pack sizes etc. It’s not right that people cannot get their medical conditions treated in the age of modern medicine due to some blanket idea that everyone will misuse the medication. That isn’t right. I don’t know how to make them hand over the stuff that might work but just Panadol is bullshit. And “might” it is because you’ve got to try it to know… duh
