Men (especially white men) are raised to expect a dominant position in society. The abundance of those dominant positions has been waning for fifty years but the way society gasses up young men hasn't changed, which leads to increasingly broken brained men. Women and minorities are conditioned to expect a lower/subservient/supportive role in society so they cope with drought of dominant positions much better.

There is definitely something wrong. Many people are saying it, and it's a worldwide phenomenon, and it's deeply layered. I don't know anything about this guy, but it's so common for even a "regular dude" to be totally cut off from any sort of communication about their own emotions, that talking to a chatbot about his feelings is a revelatory experience for him.
