I'm back at my old place today. It looks really tatty without the furniture hiding things. It's amazing how dirty walls can get. Vacuuming is improving things slightly, but it really needs a good renovation (if it's not knocked down entirely).
I've dismantled Miss Meow's old cat tree, when the weather warms up I'll use the pieces to make her an outdoor tree in the covered area.
Next main task is a quick cleanup of my nasty carpet stain. It was caused by a dented tin of plums fermenting and spraying juice everywhere. But it looks like a murder scene.
It's not blood, I promise!
not perfect, but a vast improvement. A good stain treatment could probably deal with the last of it.
Whoa. Tell us your secret!
Carpet cleaner and lots of water. I actually forgot to pack the cleaning fluids so that's just using hot water. Going over it with proper cleaning stuff would probably get the last bit out. I'm surprised it came out as well as it did.
That’s a big difference, what did you use?
Bissel carpet cleaner and lots of water.
That’s an incredible improvement, nice work! I really didn’t think you’d be getting that stain out
I didn't think it would come out that well either, it seems like the colour didn't actually soak into the carpet fibres so it was able to actually wash out.
