This auto completion in #RustRover is so annoying... I always have to remove at least half of the text it inserts.

Oh man, I am working with #webstorm by @jetbrains I don't know why you guys like it so much, it is also infested with AI and the suggesting code is so freakin' bad. I am working with preact, instead it wants to import everything from react and things like that.

A pure vanilla vim would do a better job than this mess full of AI.

hey @jetbrains if you are listening, your PyCharm is not charming lately, it just hangs all the time, even restarting didn't help much, now I uninstalled as many plugins as I could, any other idea to find out why this is? The computer is bored but PyCharm hangs :(

Had a blast at @jetbrains php Verse 2025 !
Thanks to the hosts for the fantastic event and everyone on discord for the banter and occasional flashes of PSTD from coding in php during the early 2000's :D

Hey @jetbrains: How can I propose changes to your help-pages?

In https://www.jetbrains.com/help/phpstorm/using-php-code-sniffer.html you are linking to pear... 😱

perhaps that should by now get updated with links to packagist? or https://github.com/PHPCSStandards/PHP/_CodeSniffer/?

I like @jetbrains products, but why in the hell does CLion, which you'd use to work on php-src, not support phpt files, which you would only need to use if you're working on php-src? It instead tells you to use PHPStorm, which... doesn't support the C code that is php-src.

This makes no sense to me at all.

My first experience with @jetbrains #junie building a #php app from scratch. I just posted an article describing day 1 of the experience https://www.in2it.be/2025/06/personal-experience-with-jetbrains-junie-day-1/ #ai #assistedai

As a disappointed user of @jetbrains products I took some time to fill out their survey and especially tell them how I dislike the focus on bogus AI features instead of maintaining core functionality:

Thanks @jetbrains for a greatly organized #KotlinConf, and thanks to all the speakers who shared their knowledge with us.

The biggest thing I'm excited about is Koog, the Kotlin framework for building Agents. I'm already getting my hands dirty with it.

At least, @jetbrains made the new AI stuff in #IntelliJ opt-in.

Most of the listed „AI“ features trigger red flags in me. My personal experience with AI programming tools is:

Nice for beginners, but a waste of time for most experienced devs.

they aren't able to understand a large, complex code base grown over a decade.

Sure, a relatively smart code completion is nice. But I don't have a problem with typing faster, I need to make additions and changes at the right place in a very complex system. Nothing a statistics-based tool can really of help.

So please #Jetbrains, make sure the AI stuff stays off by default, thank me later.
